This was a Per Diem Position in a Level 1 Trauma Center. I was responsible to receive, stabilize, transport and provide the subsequent care for the trauma patient who came through the Emergency/ Trauma Center.

UVM is a 765 bed teaching hospital. Skills acquired in Respiratory School were first applied in this position. Following two months of floor therapy, a 3 month orientation in the MICU and SICU, I was promoted to a LEVEL II Therapist. The last 3 months of employment prior to my move to FL, were spent in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
